After shooting only digital, I was gifted my film camera in 2020 and shot my first roll in 2021. Going fully analog was definitely a huge change for me, but a welcome one at that: I’ve been captivated by the 35mm focal length, grainy imperfection, and mechanical click of my camera ever since. Film has forced me to rethink my image-making process, and I’ve kept a film diary documenting this experience on my Instagram.
